From H. Lorayne's Foreward: 'I sat down and described, in detail, fifteen of my favorite effects and routines with ordinary cards. Effects that you can do anywhere, any time, with any deck and under almost any conditions. Of the fifteen, only four begin with the standard "pick a card" opening. And - since I usually write an effect in one sitting, I most often come up with a thought or two after it is written. Therefore - the "Afterthoughts." Don't overlook them; I'm sure you'll find some worthwhile suggestions and ideas there.'

    8 Gimmicked Handcuffs
This is a very nice Nickel-plated Brass set of Chicago Replica Hamburg 8 Handcuffs
    specially gimmicked for quick release.
The original (made by the Kayser company) handcuff from the early 20
    th
Century was normally a very secure handcuff popular with the German police. It was also very popular with escape artists such as Houdini & The Great Randi, because it could be ingeniously gimmicked for fast release. The restraint can also be quickly snapped shut to lock. The handcuffs can be opened without the key when folded, but, when unfolded, the bows lock the cuffs into place. To unlock the cuff the key must to be pushed into the key-hole to press down the locking bolt, unless you know the secret! In completely folded condition the cuff is unlocked and always ready for action.
You can lock a volunteer in the cuffs & he will not be able to escape. Even if you give him the key, the construction of the cuffs makes it almost impossible to unlock them! You have the volunteer put the cuffs on your wrists, seal your hands with tape, thread, mittens, or a paper bag & then cover them with a cloth or silk. You can immediately release yourself! These cuffs have a great shine as seen in the photo
, are in excellent condition and work perfectly!
These cuffs are sized to work for the average adult male magician; they may be too big for teen, small-frame or female magicians. Please see my other auctions for additional handcuff options! The handcuffs come with a complete set of illustrated instructions & 1 key is included.
